INTRODUCTION
Stress in the workplace is an increasingly important issue. It is costly to both individuals and organizations. It narrows our ability to think clearly and function effectively. Stress can disable us physically and emotionally.
Some stress however is both normal and beneficial, because it enables a person to seek answers to problems, redirect thinking, develop inner autonomy and assertiveness, and face the demands of reality with an open, flexible, positive attitude. Stress is the jump-start for many projects.
When stress is managed well, we will achieve calmness, which is the sign of security and confidence. People who have the ability to be in control of themselves and the world around them, almost always end up in a role of a leader.
