INTRODUCTION

5 S is a powerful improvement process that will get impressive results for your hotel. The main challenge of implementing 5 S is getting your staff and employees to understand how important housekeeping is, for those guests that patron your hotel.

This training is intended to give your staff powerful knowledge that your staff can use to make your workplace cleaner, neater and safer, their jobs simpler and more satisfying.

  • Identify source of Problems of Poor Housekeeping and how it affects your business, environment, productivity, safety at the workplace, and the working morale of the employees.
  • Benefits of 5’s Housekeeping to  Employees, Customers and the Hotel business.

  • Reinforce on the Roles and Responsibilities of 5’s Facilitator.
  • Procedure in forming an Effective Steering Committee  and  identify  its  Roles and Responsibilities.
  • What are the  Contribution  of  the  Steering  Committee  in  Promoting  the  5’s ?

How to use  Seiri, Seiton,  and  Seiso checklist to inspect the designated workplace.

Know the Common types of resistance to implementing the three 5 s and how to handle them.

Understand  the  5’s  –  Housekeeping  Plan

Participative involvement  in  the  discussion  and  meeting  to  agree on

implementation through a  5’s  Action  Plan.

The  Consolidation  of  all Department  Action  Plans  for  successful

implementation  of  the  5’s  Housekeeping
