About Course
The course covers aspects of health, safety and environment (HSE) relating to the workplace environment. The roles of management and non-management personnel in the development and implementation of a successful health and safety programme are addressed. The course focuses on the principles of occupational HSE, specifically the following major components: management, hazard impact and identification, control and prevention.
What Will You Learn?
- Describe current regulations and law relating to health, safety and environment (Malaysian HSE) and the role of engineers and technologists as HSE personnel or employee;
- Identify the hazards in the workplace;
- Discuss and apply the method of HSE assessment of identified process work unit;
- Relate safety issues to the design and operation of equipment to their discipline; and
- Analyse HSE component in any given case studies, accidents and failures.
